Blue Dominion Kennels is located in the college town of Ruston, Louisiana. BDK is owned and operated by Justin Stoppleworth and Brooke Geren. We were highschool sweethearts and now we both attend college at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston. It all started when Brooke was volunteering at a pound close to her parents home. In the county were they live it is illegal to own any sort of pitbull or pitbull mix(BSL IDIOTS). Anyway, day after day Brooke fought to save the pits that came in and then she asked me to take in a 6 week old red pitbull puppy. I was still living with my Dad at the time but he is an avid dog lover and quickly came on board. We had just got him home when we found out that he had parvo. We fought a hard 3 week battle night and day to save him, and he finally came around. My daddy fell in love with Axle and asked me if he could keep him even after i bought my own house and was moving off. Axle is still pampered and loved at my Dads house where he will stay forever. Axle wasn't the only pup that Brooke got my Dad to take in while she was at the pound. After all was said and done he now has Axle(Pitbull), Diesel( Rottwieler Saint Bernard mix), Kasey( German Shepard), Bear(Chow), and Patsy Kline( Fox hound). We started this business because of our joint love of the pitbull breed and so that we could do our part in preserving the true american bully. We are completely dedicated to our dogs and don't spare any expense when it comes to their comfort and well being. We have gathered some of the best bloodlines and best puppies from all over the country. We have bought from Nature Coast Kennels, Treasure Coast Kennels, Sonniers pit bulls, and Lifestyle Kennels. All which have very good standing in the pit bull community. We train our dogs to be as fit and muscular as they can naturally be. We do not use performance enhancers on our dogs, they are fed a mixed diet of high protein, high fat dog food and raw meat.
